Poster and packaging concept with readable headline typography

Readable words inside a generated image are still a common failure point. Black Forest Labs says FLUX 3 can render accurate text in multiple languages. If that holds outside selected examples, posters, packaging mockups, and signage get much easier.

Note: This claim sits under FLUX 3 Image, which was scheduled for early access after the first video gate. TheFluxTrain FLUX 3 support is coming soon.

Quick answer: FLUX 3 Image is announced with accurate multilingual text rendering for generated images. Image early access was not part of the first video release window. Editing survival for typography, max resolution for fine type, and pricing remain unpublished. Follow the FLUX 3 model page for TheFluxTrain status.

Why typography is a separate search topic

People do not search “multimodal foundation model.” They search “AI poster with real text” and “packaging mockup that spells the brand right.” Text rendering is the feature that decides whether FLUX 3 Image is useful for design ops or only for moodboards.

What BFL claims

  • Accurate text rendering
  • Multiple languages
  • Useful for layouts where words are part of the image

What is missing publicly:

  • Font control details
  • Kerning / small-size behavior
  • How edits affect existing type
  • Language-by-language samples at production sizes

Jobs that care first

  • Posters and event graphics
  • Packaging and label mockups
  • Storefront and wayfinding signs
  • UI fake-doors for product concepts (still needs legal and design review)
  • Thumbnail titles burned into the frame

For speech on video, that is a different path: multilingual dialogue. On-screen captions in a video frame are closer to this typography problem.

How should you test typography when access opens?

Run a fixed matrix so you can compare weeks later:

SurfaceLanguageStringSize in frame
PosterEnglishBrand + 6-word headlineLarge
PackagingLocal languageLegal line + flavor nameSmall
SignageMixedStreet sign styleMedium
After editSame as row 1Change one word onlyLarge

Pass criteria: readable at target export size, spelling correct, no broken glyphs. Fail anything that only looks good as a tiny social preview.

Example prompt stub

Straight-on product poster, soft studio light. Large headline text exactly: "COLD BREW / NO SUGAR". Brand wordmark top-left exactly: "NORTH GLASS". Minimal ingredients list bottom in small English. Clean sans typography, high contrast, print-ready layout.

Quote the exact string. Do not paraphrase the words you need spelled correctly.

How typography meets editing and video

  1. Generate the still with locked strings (image generation)
  2. Try a local edit that changes one word (image editing)
  3. Only then animate with image-to-video if the type must survive motion

If type breaks in step 2, do not spend video credits yet.

TheFluxTrain plan

Design and product-poster workflows need reliable type. When FLUX 3 Image is on TheFluxTrain, typography tests will decide whether it becomes a default node for those templates. Until then: FLUX 3 model page.
